Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with mobility, grooming, bathing, and dressing while promoting comfort and dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs, report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
• Maintain clean, safe patient rooms and adhere to infection control protocols
• Document care activities accurately and communicate clearly with nurses and other care team members
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through respectful, person-centered interaction

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• State authorization or eligibility to practice in California
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required health screenings
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work overnight per-diem shifts
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Education

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Aide/CNA program or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and safe transfer techniques
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Infection prevention and standard precautions
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and supporting interdisciplinary teams
• Basic familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
