Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality telemetry nursing care to adult patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly intervene on changes
• Perform thorough assessments, document findings, and update the care plan
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Respond effectively to emergencies and participate in unit-based code responses

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
• Prior telemetry nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred or encouraged
• Strong clinical assessment and cardiac monitoring skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced per-diem role

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Cardiac rhythm recognition and response
• IV medication administration and safety practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation
• Patient education and discharge teaching
• Clinical prioritization and time management
