Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and report changes promptly
• Assist nursing staff with admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care
• Ensure patient safety and adhere to infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and the care team to support coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in California (required)
• Active state registry/CNA license if applicable to the facility
• Current BLS/CPR certification (as required by facility)
• Dependable work history with strong attendance and professionalism
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen per facility policy

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with basic patient care tasks, mobility assistance, and ADLs
• Accurate measurement and documentation of vital signs
• Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety practices
• Good time-management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with clinical staff
