Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Measure and document vital signs and patient observations accurately
- Assist nursing staff with safe patient transfers and mobility support
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients
- Communicate changes in patient condition clearly to the care team
- Support patient dignity, comfort, and emotional needs throughout the shift
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — California preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable with direct patient care and basic clinical tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work per diem shifts as needed
- Ability to pass required background and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient-care fundamentals and infection control practices
- Skillful in taking and recording vital signs and basic observations
- Good communication and teamwork with nursing staff and families
- Basic charting and documentation accuracy
- Awareness of patient safety, mobility assistance, and fall prevention
