Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms to keep patients safe
- Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, and documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- Educate patients and families with clear, compassionate communication
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license valid in California
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred
- Prior telemetry or acute care experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with cardiac monitoring
- Clear background checks and any facility-specific onboarding requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
- Skilled in IV medication administration and patient safety practices
- Comfortable with concise, accurate electronic documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork in fast-paced clinical settings
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients overnight
