Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, grooming, and feeding
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe use of assistive devices
• Monitor and record vital signs and communicate changes to nursing staff
• Support patient comfort and dignity through attentive, respectful interaction
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and adhere to infection control practices
• Document care activities accurately and timely in patient records
• Collaborate with the care team to help deliver coordinated, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current valid CNA certification in the state of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable with elderly and pediatric populations if assigned
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and teammates
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Previous hands-on CNA experience preferred but enthusiastic new grads encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; successful completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care skills: bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, transfers
• Vital signs measurement and documentation
• Basic infection control and safety procedures
• Familiarity with electronic or paper-based patient charting
• Ability to follow care plans and observe/report changes in condition
• Teamwork, time management, and reliable attendance
