Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly and accurately in a high-acuity emergency setting
• Stabilize, monitor, and provide evidence-based interventions for critically ill and injured adults and children
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency procedures per protocol and scope of practice
• Collaborate with physicians, allied health staff, and transport teams to ensure timely care and disposition
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient status clearly and promptly
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and follow-up care with compassion and clarity

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required)
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications (required)
• Negative TB screen within 12 months of contract start date (required)
• Emergency nursing experience and comfort with high-acuity patients (preferred)
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage and rapid assessment
• ACLS and PALS algorithms and resuscitation protocols
• IV/medication administration and infusion management
• Cardiac monitoring and recognition of arrhythmias
• Pediatric and adult emergency care fundamentals
• Clear communication, teamwork, and documentation under pressure
