Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive adult and pediatric echocardiograms including 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler and contrast studies
• Conduct transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and stress echo studies as needed
• Operate imaging systems such as GE and PACS and accurately document exams in Epic
• Provide portable studies across inpatient, outpatient, ED and ICU settings with a 1:1 patient ratio when required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response) to deliver safe, patient-centered care
• Assess and escalate findings appropriately, ensuring quality and continuity of care for complex and post-surgical pediatric anomalies

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of echocardiography experience required (adult and pediatric experience preferred)
• RDCS or equivalent sonography credential preferred; CCI RCS and/or specialty certifications accepted
• BLS required
• Proven experience with Epic charting required
• Comfortable performing exams in ICU, ED and acute care environments
• Ability to perform advanced procedures: TEE, stress echo, bubble studies and imaging with contrast agents

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong echocardiography fundamentals: 2-D, 3-D, M-Mode, color, pulsed and continuous wave Doppler
• Pediatric and adult imaging expertise including complex congenital anomaly scanning and post-surgical repairs
• Experience with GE imaging systems and PACS (McKesson experience a plus)
• Proficiency performing portable studies and working in fast-paced acute settings
• Familiarity with isolation precautions and PPE for safe patient care
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
