Roles & Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs accurately and efficiently for each patient
• Room patients and prepare them for exams with professionalism and care
• Perform specimen collection and proper labeling (throat, urine, venipuncture)
• Administer immunizations and injections following protocols
• Conduct TB test administration and follow-up as needed
• Assist with basic procedures and suture removal when required
• Perform blood glucose testing using a glucometer and document results
• Handle telephone triage and follow-up phone calls with empathy and clarity
• Process pharmacy calls and refill requests to support continuity of care
• Document charts and patient histories in the required charting system

Qualifications

• 1+ year clinical experience (listed in job details)
• Experience or comfort working in an adult outpatient clinic environment
• Proficiency with the required charting system (EHR experience required)
• BLS certification preferred
• Demonstrated skills in venipuncture, specimen collection, and injections
• Ability to perform hearing and vision screenings and basic office duties
• Strong communication skills for patient interactions and telephone triage

Knowledge & Skills

• Vital signs collection and patient rooming
• Venipuncture and specimen collection (UA, throat swab, clean catch)
• Immunizations and injection administration
• Blood glucose testing (glucometer)
• Administration of TB tests and suture removal
• Charting and documentation in an electronic medical record
• Telephone triage and pharmacy refill handling
• Hearing and vision screening, nebulizer treatments
