Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and continuous chemotherapy infusions safely and accurately
• Provide IV therapy and manage infusions using Alaris and CADD ambulatory pumps
• Perform and document 6 infusions plus 1-2 port draws daily with attention to detail
• Manage ports and central lines, including care, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Monitor patients for oncologic emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions
• Administer blood and blood products per protocol and document administration
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effect management, and symptom control
• Chart thoroughly in Epic and maintain accurate, timely patient records

Qualifications

• ONCC or ONS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (first-timers accepted — we welcome new faces!)
• Familiarity with Alaris infusion pumps and CADD ambulatory pumps
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Comfort managing oncologic emergencies and symptom management

Knowledge & Skills

• Chemotherapy administration and monitoring (including oral and continuous infusions)
• IV therapy and infusion pump operation (Alaris, CADD)
• Port and central line care and blood product administration
• Recognition and management of oncologic emergencies (ATLS, anaphylaxis, extravasation, hemorrhage, sepsis, spinal cord compression)
• Neutropenic precautions and infection control
• Symptom management: nausea/vomiting, neuropathy, edema, dysphagia, altered mental status
• Chest tube care and general procedural support
• Strong documentation skills in Epic
