Registered Nurse - L&D/PP/MB
Location: Canon City, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Day and night shifts available, self-scheduling with balanced schedules, 3 weekends in a 6-week period, rotating holidays, call requirements based on census
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $75 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a supportive LDRP environment
- Titrate critical medications including Pitocin, Magnesium, Insulin, and D10 with precision and safety
- Monitor fetal heart rates and interpret strips using OBIX system to ensure optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with a close-knit team to support high-BMI, diabetic, and substance-use patients
- Float within Zone 1 facilities when needed to support system-wide patient care
- Maintain AWHONN staffing guidelines while delivering personalized care to each family
Qualifications
- Active Colorado or compact nursing license
- ACLS, NRP, AWHONN EFM, and STABLE certifications required
- LDRP experience with comfort managing high-risk obstetric patients
- Willingness to work 36 hours per week on a 13-week assignment
- Ability to read and interpret fetal monitoring strips independently
Knowledge & Skills
- LDRP experience with high-risk obstetric populations
- Titration of Pitocin, Magnesium, Insulin, and D10 drips
- Fetal monitoring and strip interpretation using OBIX
- AWHONN EFM guidelines and STABLE certification knowledge
- Strong communication and teamwork in a small-unit setting
