Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry to identify rhythm changes and escalate as needed
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care including medication administration and documentation
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate findings clearly to the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate timely interventions
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Support quality and safety initiatives by following protocols and reporting concerns

Qualifications

• Active RN license (California or compact RN with CA authorization preferred)
• Experience working on a telemetry unit or with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable with IV medication administration and electronic charting systems
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of cardiac rhythms and telemetry interpretation
• Skill in acute patient assessment and prioritization
• Familiarity with telemetry equipment and alarm management
• Proficient documentation and clear clinical communication
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while engaging the team when needed
