Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care as a Certified Nursing Assistant during assigned per diem shifts
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Take and accurately record vital signs and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and charting in patient records
- Support a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control practices
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure excellent patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in California (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or required by facility
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
- Prior experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings helpful but not mandatory
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CNA certification in California
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in basic patient care and supporting activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
- Safe patient transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Infection control best practices and hand hygiene
- Clear communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with electronic charting systems is a plus
