Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based respiratory care and diagnostic testing for critical and non-critical patients
• Assess cardiopulmonary status and implement appropriate treatment plans
• Operate and manage ventilators and other respiratory support equipment safely
• Deliver age-appropriate care across the lifespan, including neonatal, pediatric and adult populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and home care plans
• Document interventions accurately and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC-RRT) required
• Current Oregon Respiratory Care License required
• Healthcare Provider BLS required
• ACLS, NRP and PALS required for PCH Respiratory Therapy
• Two (2) years clinical experience in Respiratory Care preferred
• Ability to work varied shifts with occasional weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiopulmonary anatomy, physiology and assessment
• Proficiency in ventilator management and respiratory diagnostics
• Competence with diagnostic and treatment modalities for a range of patient acuity
• Skilled in emergency and life-support protocols
• Comfortable caring for neonatal, pediatric and adult patient populations
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
