Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry continuously and promptly recognize changes in cardiac rhythms
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to telemetry patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings to the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care in the EHR
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to create effective care plans
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment, and self-care prior to discharge

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (California) or eligible for licensure in California
• Telemetry clinical experience or comfort with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain promptly
• Strong clinical assessment skills and effective communication with patients and team
• Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and adapt to different units

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Cardiac patient assessment and post-procedural care
• Medication administration and IV therapy basics
• Electronic health record documentation and charting best practices
• Prioritization, time management, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
