Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient status and emergencies
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Current and active RN or LPN license (state licensure required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS as preferred where applicable
• Prior acute care or relevant clinical experience preferred
• Comfortable working overnight/overnight-swing shifts and handling typical night responsibilities
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of nursing process and clinical documentation
• Skilled in medication administration and IV therapy basics
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly under pressure
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and charting
• Patient advocacy, infection control, and safety-focused practices
