Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned residents and patients
Administer medications and treatments accurately according to orders and facility protocols
Monitor patient condition, recognize changes, and document assessments clearly in the chart
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and update care plans
Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and safe transitions
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and facility policies
Participate in shift handoffs, communicate critical information, and support continuity of care

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse licensure (required)
Valid state nursing license (Maine) or eligibility to obtain one
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — current (preferred/usually required)
Clinical experience in acute care, long-term care, or related settings is a plus
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, diploma, or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and monitoring
Medication administration and documentation
Electronic health record (EHR) familiarity and accurate charting
Infection control and safe clinical practice
Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
