Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0630-1900 or 1830-0700, every other weekend and every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and neurological conditions
Monitor and titrate intravenous drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and interpret results
Maintain a positive attitude and assist colleagues in a fast-paced environment
Educate patients and families on diagnoses and treatment plans

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
Must hold BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license required at submittal
Ability to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Commitment to follow artificial nail policy for patient safety
Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Proficiency in titrating IV medications
Knowledge of cardiac, stroke, and neurological conditions
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Adaptability to float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
