Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Deliver direct patient care across the lifespan in a family-centered environment
• Provide culturally sensitive education to patients and families to support health literacy
• Supervise and guide licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and ancillary staff
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the broader care team
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Float to other departments as needed with appropriate orientation

Qualifications

• Current New Mexico RN license or active Multi-State Compact (eNLC) license
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in perinatal care (LDRP)
• Skilled in all aspects of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
• STABLE and SAFER NM Technician certifications preferred

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
