Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to oncology and PCU patients across a mixed medical-surgical unit
• Administer chemotherapy and manage complex drips including heparin and cardizem
• Monitor hemodynamic status and ventilator settings with real-time training available
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, OT, social work, and dietitians
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and disease management
• Float to med-surg and PCU units as needed to support team needs
• Champion hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in PCU, oncology, or med-surg
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ONS/ONCC certification preferred
• Chemotherapy certification preferred, but not required
• EPIC experience within 6 months preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Oncology nursing and chemotherapy administration
• Progressive care unit (PCU) monitoring and interventions
• Med-surg nursing with trauma and diverse diagnoses
• Hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, A-line, and Swan-Ganz
• Ventilator management and titration of common drips
• EPIC electronic health record proficiency
• Teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced, supportive environment
