Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Multiple shift options: Days 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or Nights 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population, including adults with CHF, diabetic complications, pneumonia, COPD, and post-surgical patients
Monitor and manage telemetry patients, titrating drips like Heparin and Bumex as needed
Collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses and CNAs to maintain excellent nurse-to-patient ratios (max 1:4-5 days, 1:5 nights)
Assist with general pediatric patients and support cross-training to other departments as a helping hand
Perform thorough assessments, document accurately, and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

Active RN license (OR license or eligibility for 90-day emergency license)
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
Ability to float to other units as needed (as helping hand)
Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in managing medical-surgical patients with common diagnoses like CHF, pneumonia, COPD, and post-op care
Proficient in telemetry monitoring and reading strips
Comfortable with titrating common drips (Heparin, Bumex)
Experience with pediatric patients is a plus
Team player who thrives in a supportive, high-acuity environment
