Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Night shift, includes rotating weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive labor and delivery care in a rural hospital setting
Function as the baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
Triangulate patients in triage and manage Pitocin titration
Work collaboratively in a small team to ensure positive outcomes for moms and babies
Support postpartum and mother-baby care as needed
Float to med-surg rarely to help other units

Qualifications

Must have 1 year of L&D experience and be trained in LDRP
Ability to triage and function as the baby catcher/transition nurse
Certifications required: ALS, NRP, AWHONN EFM
Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
Must pass a background check and drug screening

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in L&D nursing, including LDRP and triage
Skilled in Pitocin titration and electronic fetal monitoring (OBIX system)
Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
Comfortable working independently in a rural hospital
