Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights), every other weekend required. Shift times include 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population in a combined Oncology/PCU/MedSurg unit
• Monitor and manage patients on titratable drips such as insulin and cardizem
• Administer chemotherapy and other oncology medications (certification preferred)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dieticians
• Float to other MedSurg and PCU units as needed, maintaining the same level of care
• Perform hourly rounding and ensure patient safety and satisfaction
• Utilize EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps for accurate documentation and medication delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in Oncology, PCU, or MedSurg
• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ONS/ONCC certification and Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Willingness to pass an open-book exam during orientation (90% required)
• Driver's license required at submittal for distance verification
• First-time travelers welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000)
• Knowledge of ventilator management and basic life support
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
