Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple Med/Surg Telemetry units within a 60-mile zone
• Float seamlessly between five facilities in Zone 1 (Colorado Springs area) based on staffing needs
• Titrate heparin drips and manage cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, and other acute conditions
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to different unit environments, including PCU/Stepdown and ICU holds when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience
• Active and unrestricted RN license in Colorado or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Willingness to float within a 60-mile radius and no home base facility
• Previous neuro experience preferred
• Must be physically located 60 miles from each facility to comply with radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in managing MS-Tele patients, including cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal, bariatrics, and more
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and heparin titration
• Strong adaptability to float between different units and facilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and prioritization in fast-paced settings
