Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend required. Self-scheduling available.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU patients, administering chemotherapy and managing complex drips.
Monitor patient conditions, titrate medications, and respond to changes in status.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers.
Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state).
Minimum 1 year of PCU, Oncology, or Med/Surg experience.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
ONS/ONCC certification preferred, but not required.
Chemotherapy certification preferred.
EPIC experience preferred.
Must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation (open book).

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of oncology patient care and chemotherapy administration.
Proficient in PCU level of care, including monitoring and titrating drips.
Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system.
Experience with Alaris IV pumps.
Understanding of hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, arterial lines) - training available.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
