Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-acuity nursing care to PCU patients with cardiac, stroke, and medical-surgical needs
Titrate drips such as heparin, octreotide, and insulin per protocol
Monitor telemetry and interpret rhythms
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to manage frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges
Maintain a positive team environment and adapt to fast-paced unit flow
Ensure patient safety and adhere to facility policies

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license and ability to meet 50-mile radius rule
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% score during orientation
Minimum 1 year recent PCU/Telemetry experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
Experience with titratable IV drips (heparin, insulin, etc.)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to float to Med/Surg, ICU, or ED as needed
Adaptability to high-volume patient turnover
