Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to telemetry and medical-surgical patients across multiple units
Titrate cardiac drips including amiodarone, cardene, nitroglycerin, heparin, and dobutamine
Interpret EKGs and monitor central telemetry for dysrhythmias
Float between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses as needed
Collaborate with charge nurses and clinical supervisors to ensure safe patient ratios of 1:3-4
Care for a diverse patient population including post-cath lab, post-vascular procedures, CABG recovery, neuro surgical, ortho, oncology, and general med-surg

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 1-2 years of telemetry or med-surg experience preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract start
Commitment to floating between units and campuses as required
Team player with excellent communication and adaptability

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in cardiac drip titration and dysrhythmia interpretation
Strong EKG interpretation skills
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Experience with GE monitors and central telemetry
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
