Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day/Night rotating, 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and manage cardiac patients requiring intermediate care and post-CVICU stepdown
Titrate IV drips including amiodarone, nitroprusside, nicardipine, epinephrine, and cardizem
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to cardiac arrhythmias
Collaborate with cardiology, intensivists, and the interdisciplinary team
Provide patient education and support for thoracic and vascular procedures

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent experience with this patient population
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license (to verify 50-mile radius)
No artificial nails in patient care areas
Must pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Proficient in drip titration and cardiac medication management
Strong assessment skills for post-surgical and critical care patients
Familiarity with EP, cath lab, and structural heart procedures
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced CVU environment
