Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, with day and night options available

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $93 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers, including delivery support and newborn resuscitation
Monitor fetal heart tracings and titrate Pitocin as needed
Function as charge nurse when required, overseeing unit operations and staff assignments
Assist in cesarean sections and provide OR circulating experience
Perform mother-baby couplet care, including postpartum assessments and education
Collaborate with OB physicians, neonatologists, and anesthesia team to ensure safe deliveries

Qualifications

Current RN license in California
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of LDRP experience, 3 years preferred
OR circulating experience strongly preferred
Charge nurse experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

LDRP nursing, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
Fetal monitoring interpretation and intervention
Newborn resuscitation and stabilization
Titration of Pitocin and occasional insulin drips
Mother-baby couplet care and education
Ability to float to other Sacramento facilities as needed
