Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert neuro telemetry care to patients with conditions like CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and encephalopathy
Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms, titrating drips such as Amio, Cardizem, and Heparin as needed
Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with strict sterile technique
Collaborate with a fast-paced team in a high-turnover unit, delivering bedside report
Float to MS/Tele floors when needed, ensuring continuity of care
Participate in holiday rotation and weekend shifts every 8 weeks

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent neuro telemetry experience
Level 1 trauma experience is a must
Neuro experience highly preferred
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start
Competence in sterile field maintenance for Foley and central line dressing changes

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
Proficiency in titrating cardiac drips (Amio, Cardizem, Insulin)
Telemetry monitoring and central station skills
Competence in Cerner EMR and WOWs
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
