Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients with precision and heart
Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor trends, and escalate changes in condition promptly
Administer medications, manage infusions and ventilator support following unit protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, respiratory therapy, and support staff—to create and execute patient care plans
Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and safety
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and progress in a clear, reassuring manner

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
Recent ICU experience — comfortable working in high-acuity environments
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work per diem shifts and adapt to varying unit needs
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and intervention
Hemodynamic monitoring and documentation
Ventilator management fundamentals
Medication administration and IV/infusion management
Effective teamwork and interdisciplinary communication
Prioritization and crisis management under pressure
