Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity cardiovascular ICU nursing care for post-op cardiac and complex cardiac patients
• Manage ventilators and deliver respiratory support with confidence
• Perform arterial and central line care, chest tube management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Monitor and interpret Swan-Ganz and advanced hemodynamic data to guide patient care
• Operate and manage CRRT and assist with patients on mechanical circulatory support (Impella)
• Document patient care clearly and accurately in Meditech
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Advocate for patients and educate families during critical phases of recovery

Qualifications

• RN required (current and active license)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or other critical care specialties)
• Hands-on ventilator experience and competency in arterial/central line and chest tube management
• Experience in CVICU, CABG recovery, CRRT, or Impella is a strong plus
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• BSN and CCRN credentials are preferred and will make your application stand out

Education

• BSN preferred
• Active RN (Registered Nurse) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Ventilator management and mechanical ventilation troubleshooting
• Swan-Ganz catheter management and interpretation
• Arterial line and central line care
• Chest tube management and post-op cardiac care
• Experience with CRRT and Impella devices
• Familiarity with Meditech and bedside monitoring systems (GE monitors, EV1000, Hemispheres)
• Ability to manage 2:1 patient ratios and work collaboratively on a high-performing team
