Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality cardiac and telemetry nursing care for STEMI/NSTEMI, CHF, and other cardiac patients
• Monitor and manage complex telemetry rhythms and administer IV antiarrhythmic medications safely
• Care for post-cardiothoracic surgery patients transitioning from ICU to unit care
• Provide noninvasive ventilation support and manage peripheral vascular compromise
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Float to Med/Surg or ER as needed to support CVCU/Med Surg holds
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in patient status promptly
• Support and mentor team members to maintain unit standards and patient safety

Qualifications

• Oklahoma RN license (Compact allowed)
• Minimum 2 years of SDU/CVCU or telemetry experience
• Comfortable floating to Med/Surg and ER to accept CVCU/Med Surg holds
• Current ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Ability to work flexible schedules; NO BLOCK SCHEDULING

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm management skills
• Experience with STEMI/NSTEMI care pathways and chest pain rule-outs
• Skilled in CHF management and noninvasive ventilation
• Familiarity with post-cardiothoracic surgery care and ICU handoffs
• Competent in administering IV antiarrhythmic medications and managing complications
• Ability to assess and manage peripheral vascular compromise
• Effective communication, critical thinking, and team collaboration
