Location: Honolulu, HI

Start Date: 05-15-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts, schedule varies (exact start/end times to be confirmed), acute care unit

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $27 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care in an acute care setting
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
Monitor and document patient status accurately and promptly
Support nursing staff with procedures and timely communication of changes
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered care
Help ensure patient comfort and dignity during their hospital stay

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (or ability to obtain) - Hawaii licensure preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working in an acute care hospital environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Compassionate approach to patient care and attention to detail
Previous acute care experience preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome

Education

High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Patient handling and safe transfer techniques
Infection prevention and control practices
Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observations
EHR documentation and basic computer skills
Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
