Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive sleep testing and monitoring using standard polysomnography procedures
• Conduct patient setup, sensor application, and continuous overnight observation to ensure data quality and patient safety
• Collect and document sleep data, scoring recordings accurately and communicating notable findings to the clinical team
• Implement prescribed sleep interventions and assist with CPAP titration under supervision
• Maintain and troubleshoot monitoring equipment and ensure proper infection control and supply levels
• Provide compassionate patient education and support before, during, and after testing

Qualifications

• Ability to work three 12-hour shifts per week as scheduled
• Previous experience in sleep testing or polysomnography preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Certified Sleep Technician credentials (CST) or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) a plus
• Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to follow protocols and work under general supervision of a sleep technologist or facility director

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a sleep technology program or related healthcare training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on knowledge of polysomnography procedures and sleep staging fundamentals
• Familiarity with EEG, EOG, EMG, respiratory and cardiac monitoring
• Skill in sensor placement, signal quality assessment, and troubleshooting artifacts
• Competence with patient safety, infection control, and HIPAA-compliant documentation
• Ability to accurately score and interpret basic sleep study data and alert clinicians to abnormalities
