Shift Type: Rotating shifts (days and nights). All shifts available; per diem float pool. Must be available to pick up at least 4-5 shifts per month. Note: day shift nurses may care for up to 6 patients when unit is full; night shift up to 8 patients.

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed nursing care to adults in an inpatient behavioral health setting
• Employ de-escalation techniques and CPI strategies to maintain a safe therapeutic environment
• Assess, document, and communicate patient status and care plans clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support individualized, person-centered care
• Manage assigned caseloads effectively during busy census periods (up to 6 patients day, 8 patients night)
• Support admissions, discharges, and transitions of care while maintaining safety and dignity
• Model empathy, accountability, and solution-oriented practice in all patient interactions

Qualifications

• CPI certification required, or willingness to obtain within 45 days of start
• Minimum 2+ years recent behavioral health nursing experience
• Per diem availability with the ability to pick up at least 4-5 shifts per month
• Experience in inpatient adult nursing and float pool assignments
• Cerner experience preferred
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and trauma-informed environment
