Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday clinic 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, night call Monday-Friday 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM, weekend call Saturday-Sunday 24 hours

Candidate Pay Rate: $2538 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Collaborate with pediatric providers to diagnose and determine surgical necessity
Manage and perform preoperative, operative, and postoperative care for pediatric patients
Round on admitted patients and handle weekend surgical consults
Triage after-hours calls from the Pediatric Emergency Department
Provide emergent surgical coverage with quick response times

Qualifications

Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery (required)
Active Virginia State Medical License (required)
COVID-19 Vaccination (required)
COI coverage of $2.6M/$7.8M (required if requested)
Experience in pediatric surgical care from newborns to teenagers

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in Pediatric Surgery
Preoperative, operative, and postoperative care skills
Emergency department consultation and triage
Ability to work collaboratively in a community health setting
Strong communication and decision-making under pressure
