Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator settings and perform advanced ventilator management for adult and pediatric patients
• Provide critical care respiratory therapy across ICU, NICU/Peds, and other critical care floors
• Perform neonatal and pediatric respiratory interventions and collaborate with NICU teams
• Respond rapidly to respiratory emergencies and support code situations with confidence
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner and maintain clear communication with interdisciplinary teams
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including GE R860, Draeger infant/peds vents, Newport HT70, V60, Vapotherm and Comfort Flow
• Assist with transport ventilator care and procedures, ensuring patient safety during moves

Qualifications

• North Carolina Respiratory License (required)
• RRT — Registered Respiratory Therapist (required)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (required)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant respiratory therapy or critical care experience
• NRP preferred
• Comfortable working across adult critical care and NICU/Peds service lines

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ventilator management skills and experience with adult and pediatric ventilators
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR for accurate charting and communication
• Experience with GE R860, Draeger (Infant/Peds vents), Newport HT70, V60 non-invasive devices, Vapotherm and Comfort Flow
• Clinical judgment in critical care settings and ability to prioritize in high-acuity environments
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams
