Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients in a rural LDRP setting
Triage incoming obstetric patients and manage active labor
Function as the baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
Administer and titrate Pitocin as needed for labor augmentation
Collaborate with charge nurse and support staff to ensure safe patient outcomes
Float to med-surg occasionally when needed as 'helping hands'

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent L&D experience in an LDRP unit
Active Colorado RN license or compact license accepted
Current certifications: ALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM
Ability to triage and independently manage low-risk deliveries
Comfortable working in a rural hospital with minimal backup

Knowledge & Skills

Strong L&D nursing skills including LDRP, triage, and newborn transition
Proficiency in reading electronic fetal monitoring strips (OBIX system)
Ability to work autonomously and make quick decisions
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing unit needs
