Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Self-scheduling, 11-hour shifts (6:00 AM - 5:00 PM), with call requirements: one weekday per month and one weekend per month.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in a wide range of cardiovascular surgeries including open heart, endovascular, thoracic, and vascular procedures
Prepare and maintain a sterile field in the operating room
Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for each case
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia team for optimal patient outcomes
Participate in on-call rotations for weekday and weekend emergencies

Qualifications

Active Colorado DORA certification as a Surgical Technologist
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience, especially in open heart and endovascular cases

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in sterile technique and infection control
Proficiency with cardiovascular surgical instruments and equipment
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity OR environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills to support the surgical team
