Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Self-scheduling shifts: Days, Nights, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM. Weekend requirement: Every other.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care for patients with trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac conditions
Perform ECG interpretation and monitor patient rhythms
Collaborate with physicians and mid-level providers to deliver critical interventions
Manage patient triage and fast-track when assigned
Maintain ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications for safe practice

Qualifications

At least 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
Active RN license in Texas or compact state
Current ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS (or ENTC) certifications
Ability to float to other units as qualified
Strong skills in trauma, stroke, and sepsis management

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency room nursing procedures and protocols
Trauma and stroke care best practices
Sepsis management and CHF care
ECG rhythm interpretation
Paragon EMR experience is a plus
