Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, self-scheduling for travelers

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis cases
Titrate and manage cardiac drips, insulin, sedation, and other critical medications
Interpret and document telemetry strips with oversight from tele techs
Collaborate with respiratory therapists managing patients from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilation
Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2-3 for adults
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate ratios

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred
Valid driver's license required for radius verification
Willingness to adhere to facility policies including artificial nail restrictions

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in critical care nursing and titration of vasoactive drips
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Strong assessment and rapid response skills
Familiarity with GE monitoring equipment
Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
