Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, includes every other weekend (Fri-Sun) and rotating holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a rural LDRP setting
Perform triage assessments and manage active labor
Act as the primary baby catcher and transition nurse
Administer medications including Pitocin titration
Monitor fetal heart tracings using OBIX system
Collaborate with on-call OB and anesthesia teams
Provide postpartum and gynecological surgical care as needed

Qualifications

Must have 1 year of L&D experience
Trained in LDRP
Ability to triage and function as baby catcher/transition nurse
Certifications: BLS, ALS, NRP, AWHONN EFM

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring (EFM)
Knowledge of OB emergencies and interventions
Triage and assessment skills
IV therapy and medication titration
Team collaboration in a rural hospital setting
Comfortable with limited resources and independent practice
