Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, includes weekend rotations (Friday-Saturday-Sunday) on a rotating basis

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a rural LDRP setting
Triage patients and manage active labors with Pitocin titration as needed
Function as the primary baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
Collaborate with a small, close-knit team to ensure safe, compassionate deliveries
Support postpartum recovery and gynecological surgical patients when necessary

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of L&D experience with LDRP training required
Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
Current ALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM certifications
Ability to triage independently and serve as baby catcher/transition nurse
Comfortable working in a rural hospital with on-call OB and anesthesia support

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring (EFM) using OBIX system
Skilled in Pitocin titration and managing active labor
Strong triage and assessment abilities for obstetric patients
Experience with bubble CPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula support for newborns
Able to float to med-surg for helping hands as needed (rare)
