Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with call rotation one weekday per week and one weekend per month

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform circulating and scrubbing duties in the cardiovascular operating room
Assist in open heart and endovascular procedures, including TAVR and thoracic surgeries
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergencies during surgery
Float to general OR as needed when CVOR cases are low

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact state (NLC)
BLS certification required (AHA)
ACLS certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience including open heart and endovascular cases
Experience with Epic EMR
Ability to scrub into hold the heart and help close the chest

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and instrumentation
Strong communication and teamwork skills with surgeons and anesthesia
Ability to scrub and circulate efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Expertise in endovascular and open heart surgery techniques
Familiarity with call response time expectations and on-call protocols
