Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, days may vary including weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles
Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans as needed
Administer medications and treatments according to hospital policies
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Document patient care accurately in Meditech, OBIX, and Pyxis systems
Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning

Qualifications

Active Alaska RN license required
Minimum 3 years of Med-Surg experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and AED certifications
Critical thinking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Meditech, OBIX, and Pyxis supply systems
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Team-oriented with a focus on patient safety
