Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights, every other weekend, rotating holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations
Assess, triage, and stabilize patients in a fast-paced 18-bed ED with 4 fast-track bays
Administer medications, perform EKG interpretation, and monitor telemetry
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
Document accurately in Cerner EMR and maintain compliance with all protocols
Participate in bedside shift reporting and support charge nurse duties as needed

Qualifications

Active California RN license in good standing
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1-2 years of recent ED experience preferred
Proficiency in EKG interpretation and Cerner EMR
Ability to float to other Sacramento facilities as needed
Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Emergency nursing: trauma, cardiac, stroke, psych holds
Cerner EMR proficiency
Patient triage and rapid assessment
Team collaboration and adaptability in a high-volume setting
