Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in coronary, peripheral, vascular, neuro, and general IR procedures in a 5-suite Cath Lab
Monitor hemodynamics and administer conscious sedation under the guidance of the RN
Manage airway, cardiac drips (e.g., Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressors), and balloon pumps
Prepare and maintain sterile field, equipment, and supplies for each case
Collaborate with the Lead Tech and team to ensure efficient room assignments and workflow
Participate in on-call rotation for emergent and inpatient cases, including one weekend per month

Qualifications

ARRT certification (RCIS or CCT not accepted)
Fluoro certification required
BLS certification required
Minimum of 1 year current Cath Lab experience (no first-time travelers)
Comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, and airway management
Experience with cardiac drips and balloon pumps preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Cath Lab procedural knowledge including STEMI and complex interventions
Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
Sterile technique and infection control
Cardiac rhythm recognition
Equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
Emergency response and critical thinking
Team collaboration and communication
Radiation safety and ALARA principles
