Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse patient population in a 33-bed ICU
Manage and titrate cardiac drips, insulin, sedation, and other critical medications
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapy, nurse aides, and healthcare support techs
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining low nurse-to-patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass an open-book exam to ensure competency

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
At least 1 year of ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required for distance verification
Willingness to adhere to facility policies including artificial nail prohibition

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in titration of drips and cardiac monitoring
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for trauma, sepsis, stroke, and post-surgical patients
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Comfortable with ventilator management and high-flow oxygen devices
