Location: Carmichael, CA

Start Date: 07-07-2026

End Date: 10-06-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Day shifts, typically Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with rotating weekend coverage (at least one full weekend per month)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $82 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive initial assessments for patients across all hospital areas
Conduct utilization review using Interqual criteria to ensure appropriate care levels
Develop and implement discharge plans, coordinating with patients, families, and healthcare team
Manage cases involving all payers, including uninsured and homeless populations
Document care coordination activities in Cerner EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and timely transitions of care

Qualifications

Current RN license in California
BLS certification from AHA
Prior recent experience with Dignity Health facilities in California (required)
Experience in case management, utilization review, or discharge planning preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Interqual criteria
Experience with Cerner EMR
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to prioritize and reprioritize throughout the day
Knowledge of payer types and community resources
